She brings her classical degree in cello performance into the modern era of music with ethereal and intricately improvised cello pieces that weave in between songs of heavy folk on the electric electric guitar with strong and simple vocals inspired by Gillian Welch, Susan Tedeschi and Brandi Carlile. Sam Rae tours as a solo artist and also in collaboration with illustrious folk singer Gregory Alan Isakov and Brandi Carlile.

Autumn is a time of intense energetic transformation: ripe for connecting with the spirits and our magical selves. This month we will explore the subtle and potent energetics of plant medicine.

In this class we will focus on how to use plants for protection, intention, and cultivating consciousness. We will explore practices for honoring our ancestors and connecting with the spirits through dreamwork, creating altars, smudging and plant essences. Some of the herbs we will be working with include mugwort, cedar, lavender, thyme, yarrow, sage, mullein, reishi and motherwort.
